Ernest Abdyzhaparov gets prize for contribution to cinema at festival in Almaty
Ernest Abdyzhaparov received a prize of Bastau: Central Asia International Festival in Almaty. Kyrgyzcinema.com reports.
Film by Ernest Abdyzhaparov «Storyteller» («Sagynbai Manaschi») is screened in a special program.
President of the festival Sergei Azimov noted the director’s great contribution to the development of Kyrgyz cinema during the period of independence, said many warm words to him and presented the Bastau statuette and a unique three-volume book about the history of Central Asia.
