Cabinet of Ministers takes loan for import of electricity, purchase of coal
The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan takes a loan for the energy sector from the Asian Development Bank. Deputy Finance Minister Ruslan Tatikov said at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on international affairs, defense, security and migration.
According to him, $50 million will be used to import electricity.
«Half of the amount is a loan, half is a grant. ADB allocates funds for 24 years at 1-1.5 percent,» Ruslan Tatikov said.
Minister of Energy Taalai Ibraev noted that, in addition to import of electricity, part of the amount will be used to purchase coal for the Bishkek Heating and Power Plant.
