Fight between residents of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan occurs at border
An incident occurred on Saturday between citizens of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan on the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the state border. The Department of Information and Communications of the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security reported.
A skirmish broke out between the Kyrgyz and the Tajiks on the way to Dakhma village through Somonien (RT) village. The latter began to use foul language against a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic. A fight broke out, which escalated into stone-throwing.
«In order to prevent escalation of the conflict and disperse the fighting, another citizen of Kyrgyzstan fired three warning shots into the air from a hunting rifle. To clarify the circumstances and reasons for the incident, a meeting is being held at the level of border representatives of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan for Batken and Isfara sections,» the statement says.
