MP asks to fully write off loans of residents of border villages in Batken
Deputy of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan Mirgul Temirbaeva asked state and commercial banks to fully write off loans of residents of the border villages in Batken region affected by the invasion of Tajikistan. She announced this at a meeting of Parliament.
According to the deputy, she met with the residents of Leilek district and made sure that the villagers did not have the opportunity to repay loans taken from financial institutions.
«About 400 residents of Zhashtyk, Dostuk, Arka, Borborduk villages have loans in various commercial banks. Give instructions to these financial institutions. Let them fully write off their loans,» Mirgul Temirbaeva said.
She noted that the total amount of credit funds is more than 40 million soms.
«The fact that they were given breaks on payments does not save them. The villages have not been restored. They do not have the opportunity to conduct any activity and earn money. Write everything off. We turned to the banks, but they say that they cannot resolve the issue on their own. Therefore, an instruction from the Cabinet is needed,» Mirgul Temirbaeva added.
