Less than quarter of small, medium businesses not support use of cash registers
At least 77 percent of the entrepreneurs surveyed support the mandatory use of cash registers. Such data of a survey of business representatives are provided in the study conducted by the Guarantee Fund «Assessment of the state of micro-, small and medium-sized businesses in Kyrgyzstan and its expert potential.»
According to the survey results, 53 percent of respondents fully support the use of cash registers, 24 percent are neutral, other 16 percent rather do not support, and 7 percent are against.
In total, more than 700 taxpayers — individuals and legal entities, individual entrepreneurs — took part in the anonymous survey conducted in September 2022.
According to the Tax Service, more than 60,000 entrepreneurs use cash registers in the country to date. The figure has tripled for a year. Trade and public catering outlets, pharmacies, air ticket offices, gas stations, online stores, as well as other entities that provide services to the population and conduct cash or cashless payments with the population, must use cash registers.
«The use of cash registers creates conditions for fair payment of taxes and transparent business, relieves the entrepreneur of filing a whole set of cash reporting,» the state service emphasizes.
