Fight against corruption has not achieved its goals, President admits
The authorities are striving to ensure that the size of the country’s consolidated budget will be more than 500 billion soms in 2023. The President said at the first People’s Kurultai.
According to Sadyr Japarov, all decisions to improve the life of the people, replenish the treasury, develop the country are based on the state budget.
«When we came to power, we began to take measures to replenish the budget. Fiscal policy has been strengthened. We began to look for ways to increase income. As a result, in 2020, the indicators of the consolidated budget amounted to 248 billion soms, in 2021 this figure, without collecting additional taxes, amounted to 313 billion soms. This suggests that if earlier money fell into someone’s pockets, now they are being returned to the treasury. As stated earlier, we want to reach 400 billion soms this year, and more than 500 billion soms in 2023. If you look, these are just dry figures, but the fate of the person and the future of the state is behind every som. As a result, due to the increase in state treasury revenues, the construction and repair of 193 social facilities have been completed since October 2020,» Sadyr Japarov said.
He noted that since the moment he took office, his main duty was the fight against corruption.
«However, we must openly admit that corruption has taken root widely and it has not yet been possible to completely rid society of this disease,» Sadyr Japarov said.
