Wife of Bolot Temirov tells about interrogation of journalist by FSB of Russia
Kyrgyz journalist Bolot Temirov was interrogated at Moscow’s Domodedovo airport by officers of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation (FSB). His wife Makhabat Tazhibek kyzy told 24.kg news agency.
According to her, Bolot Temirov was asked about his activities, as well as sources of funding.
«Bolot Temirov was brought yesterday to Domodedovo airport. Everyone knows how he was taken out yesterday. He does not have a Russian passport now. Upon arrival at the airport, Bolot was met by his mother. He is with her now. As the husband told, he was interrogated by the Border Service of the FSB, he answered all questions honestly — he receives grants, is engaged in journalistic investigations. He is all right,» Makhabat Tazhibek kyzy told.
Bolot Temirov was expelled from the country by court decision on November 23. Immediately after the trial, where the verdict was announced, he was taken by force, accompanied by law enforcement officers, to the airport and sent by plane to Russia.
Earlier, the Sverdlovsky District Court acquitted Bolot Temirov on two counts. The case was dismissed on two more, including on a fake passport, due to expiration of the statute of limitations. The court did not apply punishment to the journalist.
