Cargo transportation increases by 34 percent since beginning of 2022
Cargo transportation has increased by 34 percent since the beginning of 2022 in Kyrgyzstan. The National Statistical Committee provided such data.
In January-October, cargo transportation by all modes of transport amounted to 35.5 million tons, which is 33.9 percent more than in the same period in 2021 (26.5 million tons).
During this period, cargo transportation by road in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 28.9 million tons, which is 43 percent more than in January-October last year (20.2 million tons).
Cargo transportation by rail increased by 4.9 percent compared to the same period last year (6.1 million tons) — to 6.4 million tons.
The volume of cargo transported by pipeline transport in the reporting period amounted to 191,500 tons, by air — 14,800 tons.
