American playwright holds workshop for screenwriters in Kyrgyzstan
American playwright, screenwriter, writer and actress Pamela Ribon held a workshop «Let’s start your story» for aspiring screenwriters in Kyrgyzstan. She told about this at a press conference at 24.kg news agency.
During the workshop, 12 aspiring screenwriters were able to develop their skills in writing scripts for videos on socially important topics.
«Participants approached the process with enthusiasm and creativity. I can’t say that they are students, many of them have experience, they want to change the world. We raised issues of social justice, human experience. The workshop was held at a good level,» Pamela Ribon said.
The workshop organizer Aiym Ishembieva added that the event was part of the American Film Showcase program. According to her, in addition to novice screenwriters, there were meetings for already experienced workers in the creative industry.
