Kyrgyzstan takes third place in EAEU in terms of inflation
In October 2022, compared to the previous month, an increase in consumer prices and tariffs was registered in all member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union. The National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan provided such data.
The largest increase was registered in Kazakhstan — by 1.6 percent. Kyrgyzstan takes the second place. In October, compared to September 2022, prices increased by 1.3 percent in the country.
In October 2022, compared to December 2021, the highest inflation rate in the consumer sector of the economy (17.2 percent) was also registered in Kazakhstan. This was due to an increase in prices for food products (including alcoholic beverages and tobacco products) by 21.2 percent and services — by 12.6 percent. The maximum increase in prices for non-food products was registered in Belarus — by 16.8 percent.
Kyrgyzstan takes the 3rd place, where prices have increased by 12.1 percent since the beginning of the year.
The level of inflation in Russia and Armenia was registered at 10.7 and 6 percent, respectively.
