Sadyr Japarov leaves for Samarkand to attend Summit of Heads of Turkic states
The President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov left for Samarkand (Uzbekistan) to participate in the ninth meeting of the summit of the heads of the countries — members of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). Press service of the head of state reported.
The leaders of the countries will discuss topical issues of multilateral cooperation, adopt a declaration and a OTS strategy for 2022-2026. It is planned to sign agreements and documents in the field of transport, customs, digitalization, as well as appointment to a number of positions in the OTS and the International Turkic Academy.
Members of the official delegation of Kyrgyzstan:
- Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeenbek Kulubaev;
- Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Executive Office Muratbek Azymbakiev;
- Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan Musa Dzhamanbaev;
- Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliev;
- Minister of Transport and Communications Tilek Tekebaev;
- Minister of Economy and Commerce Daniyar Amangeldiev;
- Chairman of the Customs Service Samat Isabekov.
The summit, chaired by the Uzbek side, will be attended by the heads of member states of the organization — Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkey, as well as the Prime Minister of Hungary and the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan — in the status of observers.
