Over 60,000 trees should be planted in Bishkek to purify air
It is necessary to plant 60,000 trees to purify the air in the capital. Director of the Agency for Development and Attraction of Investments of the City Hall of Bishkek, Kurmanbek Moldokulov, said at the round table «Is Bishkek ready for another winter with smog?»
The city needs 22 wells to maintain and irrigate these trees, he said.
«This year, the City Hall allocated money, and wells have already begun to be dug. Bishkekvodkhoz was created. Previously, Bishkekzelenkhoz was engaged in irrigation, but they had other functions. I think the wells issue will be resolved next year,» Kurmanbek Moldokulov said.
