Champion of 1980 Olympics presents his medal to 7 millionth Kyrgyzstani
Olympic champion Kanybek Osmonaliev presented his gold medal to the 7 millionth Kyrgyzstani. Press service of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) reported.
According to the NOC, within the framework of the Olympic educational project timed to the 30th anniversary of the NOC of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kanybek Osmonaliev and Kabyl Makeshov visited Batken, Osh and Jalal-Abad regions, where they met with students and youth, read lectures aimed at popularizing Olympic ideas, knowledge and attracting youth to sports.
In Kyzyl-Kiya city, Batken region, the champion of the 1980 Moscow Olympics and four-time world champion Kanybek Osmonaliev met with the family where the 7 millionth citizen of Kyrgyzstan was born.
The boy’s family was also presented with memorable Olympic gifts and suyunchu from the President of the National Olympic Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Mamytov.
