Chairman of Cabinet promises to solve transport problems in Bishkek in 2023
The Cabinet of Ministers intends to help the City Halls of Bishkek and Osh in solving pressing problems. The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Japarov, said at a parliamentary meeting.
According to him, it is planned to build a hospital in 20 cities of the country.
«Budgets of the cities of Osh and Bishkek are separated from the republican one. Nevertheless, every year we will help two capitals to solve the most pressing problems. When we built 15 new European-standard schools, we realized that we could help build kindergartens and hospitals,» Akylbek Japarov said.
The head of the Cabinet also noted that he had agreed with the Prime Ministers of Belarus and Kazakhstan on the supply of buses to Bishkek.
«We agreed that Belarus will supply 1,000 buses and Kazakhstan — the same number. In total, Bishkek needs 1,700 buses. Unfortunately, we have not found a financial model that can satisfy both parties. So far, we have agreed that payment will be made in Kazakh tenge and Belarusian rubles. We cannot resolve this issue due to the lack of a large insurance company in Kyrgyzstan. But next year, the issue of supply of 2,000 buses will be resolved,» Akylbek Japarov said.
The head of the Cabinet also promised to solve the landfill issue in Bishkek in 2023.
