Prosecutor General's Office initiates four criminal cases against Mayor of Osh
Four criminal cases are being investigated against Mayor of Osh city Almaz Mambetov. The Prosecutor General’s Office informed 24.kg news agency.
The cases under article 337 «Abuse of official position» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic were initiated during the period when Almaz Mambetov served as Mayor of Balykchy. In addition to the mayor, other officials of the City Hall are also defendants in the criminal case.
As the main supervisory body noted, the First Vice Mayor of Balykchy, Aziz Asanaliev, was earlier detained in this case. He was placed under house arrest on October 11.
Almaz Mambetov served as a Mayor of Balykchy from 2014 to 2019.
