Trilateral meeting in Astana: What Sadyr Japarov tells about
Meeting of the Presidents of Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan ended on Thursday in Astana (Kazakhstan) on the sidelines of the 6th summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA).
According to the press service of the head of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov expressed gratitude to Vladimir Putin for the initiative to hold a joint meeting and confidentially discuss the existing problematic issues, as well as for his readiness to assist in matters of the state border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
He dwelled in detail on the situation that has developed at the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border, and stressed that the Kyrgyz side adheres to the unchanging position on the need to resolve disputed issues exclusively by peaceful means and political and diplomatic methods, recalling the consequences of the armed aggression by the Tajik side.
Sadyr Japarov also noted that Kyrgyzstan is set for mutually beneficial and speedy completion of the formation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border, which will become a guarantor of stability and good neighborliness.
