79 children die on roads of Kyrgyzstan, 1,672 injured since beginning of 2022
At least 1,379 traffic accidents involving minors have been registered in Kyrgyzstan since the beginning of 2022. Kanatbek Kubatbekov, Deputy Head of the Main Road Safety Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, announced at a press conference in Bishkek.
«At least 83 children died in road accidents for nine months of 2021, this year — 79 children, the figure decreased by 4.8 percent. The number of injured children last year reached 1,655, the figure has increased by 1 percent to 1,672 in the current year,» he said.
Kanatbek Kubatbekov noted that the number of traffic accidents involving children in the republic increased by 1 percent. At least 1,363 such road accidents were registered for the same period in 2021.
