Over 1,500 Russians apply for citizenship of Kyrgyzstan
Since the beginning of the year, more than 1,500 Russians have applied for citizenship of Kyrgyzstan. Nursultan Sardarbekov, Director of the Population Registration Department under the Ministry of Digital Development of Kyrgyzstan, announced at a press conference in Bishkek.
«According to statistics, 160,380 citizens arrived in Kyrgyzstan from Russia for nine months of last year. This year there is an increase in arrivals by about 30 percent.
Since the beginning of the year, 192,258 people have arrived in Kyrgyzstan from Russia.
At least 385 Russian citizens applied for citizenship of Kyrgyzstan for nine months of 2021. Some 1,631 people applied for citizenship for the same period of this year,» he said.
The director of the Population Registration Department noted that 226 people received citizenship of Kyrgyzstan for nine months of last year, and 603 people — for the same period of this year.
