Inflow of remittances to Kyrgyzstan increases by $31 million for month
In August 2022, migrants transferred $301.6 million to Kyrgyzstan, which is $31 million more than a month earlier. The National Bank provided such data.
In total, in January — August, compatriots transferred $1,919.63 billion to the country. This is $182.79 million more than in 2021. Russia accounts for more than 97 percent of remittances — $1,830.88 billion. At least $40.69 million was transferred to the Kyrgyz Republic from other states, and $37.41 million — from the USA.
According to the results of August, there was also an outflow of funds of $133.4 million. The main part of the money was transferred to Russia — $120.6 million. The outflow for eight months is estimated at $608.92 million.
The net inflow of remittances to Kyrgyzstan in January-August reached $1,310.71 billion.
Last year, the volume of money transfers to the republic was $2,756.24 billion. At least $562.77 million was transferred from the Kyrgyz Republic to other countries. Net inflow reached $2,193.47 billion.
