Head of Eldik Kozomol Public Association detained for extortion
The Chairman of Eldik Kozomol Public Association was detained for extortion. Press center of the State Committee for National Security reported.
On October 3, the Chairman of Eldik Kozomol Public Association A.O. was caught red-handed while taking 200,000 soms. It was found out that he extorted $3,600 from the chairman of one of the local courts for concealing information about the alleged fictitious debt when purchasing movable property, the statement says.
The suspect threatened the judge with publications in the media and contacts in the Presidential Executive Office of the Kyrgyz Republic.
«The detainee assured that he had the opportunity to prematurely dismiss the judge from his position on discrediting grounds. He acted in the interests of K.T.A., from whom he received a fictitious statement,» the state committee reported.
It is noted that A.O. and K.T.A. were previously prosecuted for rape and fraud.
