Internationally wanted Kyrgyzstani detained in Egypt
A Kyrgyzstani wanted for fraud on an especially large scale was detained in Egypt. Press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
«In the course of joint search activities by the National Bureau of Interpol of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Interpol of Egypt, a person put on the international wanted list, 42-year-old A.A., nicknamed Azamatullo, was identified and detained in Cairo. He was wanted for committing a crime under part 4 of article 166 «Fraud on an especially large scale» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The suspect gained trust of citizens, and then appropriated their property and money,» the statement says.
Law enforcement agencies of Egypt decided to expel the detainee. With the assistance of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the issue of his return to Kyrgyzstan and transfer to the investigating authorities has been worked out.
