Deputies approve $30 million loan to support labor market
Plan of agreement on financing the project «Strengthening social assistance programs and the labor market» between Kyrgyzstan and the International Development Association (IDA) was approved. The decision was made on Monday at a meeting of the Committee on Budget, Economic and Fiscal Policy of the Parliament.
The loan amount is $30 million. The objectives of the project are to mitigate the impact of the economic crisis on low-income families and labor migrants, as well as to improve the effectiveness of social assistance programs and the labor market.
The agreement will fund activities aimed at improving skills and employment opportunities among young people.
