Tazabek Ikramov proposes to rename Batken region into Manas
At a parliamentary meeting, deputy Tazabek Ikramov proposed to rename Batken region into Manas one.
He expressed condolences to all those who lost their relatives and friends during the invasion of Kyrgyzstan.
«The state should provide assistance to those who suffered during the conflict in the near future. We say that Kyrgyzstan begins with Batken. Considering that the situation there, as we all know, is very difficult, I would suggest renaming Batken region into Manas one. I would like to raise this issue for discussion,» Tazabek Ikramov said.
