The Minister of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Beishenaliev was detained within the criminal case under investigation. The Ministry of Internal Affairs informed 24.kg news agency.
Almazbek Beishenaliev was detained on the fact of extortion of a bribe on an especially large scale. He was caught red-handed.
«The fact of taking a bribe in an especially large amount — $ 110,000 is being investigated. Money was extorted for the enrollment of foreign students in domestic universities. Full information will be provided based on the results of the investigation,» the ministry said.
