Akylbek Japarov and ADB Country Director discuss partnership for 2023-2027
Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov met with the Country Director of the Asian Development Bank for the Kyrgyz Republic Kanokpan Lao-Araya. Press service of the Cabinet reported.
Akylbek Japarov noted that the Asian Development Bank is a strategic partner that provides significant support to the country in all key areas of development.
«The Kyrgyz Republic is interested in supporting transformation of the country’s economy into a diversified and competitive private sector economy capable of creating jobs and integrating into regional and global value chains,» he said.
Kanokpan Lao-Araya informed Akylbek Japarov about the upcoming visit of the ADB Board of Directors to Kyrgyzstan in October and the importance of discussing a new partnership strategy with the country for 2023-2027.
The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers named the priority areas for the development of the country, including the development of projects on renewable energy sources and climate change.
The parties discussed issues of development of a new partnership strategy, promoting current projects of the financial institution in the country, as well as further strengthening cooperation.
