Businessman Azim Roy transfers over 20 million soms to SCNS
Businessman Azim Roy (Orozakhun Saidazimov) transferred 22,596 million soms to a special account of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS). Own sources informed 24.kg news agency and provided a bank transfer order.
The recipient is the SCNS. According to some reports, the businessman decided to transfer money in connection with the events that took place at the Kyrgyz-Tajik border.
The transfer was made on September 19.
It should be noted that a photo was recently published on social media, showing the President Sadyr Japarov sitting next to Azim Roy. Later it became known that the businessman was awarded a medal in honor of the 95th anniversary of the Kyrgyz police.
It is known from open sources that the businessman and the native of the Kyrgyz Republic has an account in the Swiss bank Credit Suisse, which was active from 1997 to 2013. The maximum amount on the account is $11.6 million.
OCCRP journalists found out in their investigation that Azim Roy is «an entrepreneur with connections in the underworld of Russia and Central Asia.»
