Prosecutor General's Office opens 3 criminal cases after check of Kumtor’s work
The Prosecutor General’s Office of Kyrgyzstan opened three criminal cases after checking the work of Kumtor Gold Company CJSC. The main supervisory authority informed 24.kg news agency.
The criminal cases have been initiated under the article «Violation of restrictions established by the legislation on joint-stock companies» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to preliminary data, the state suffered damage in the amount of about 1 billion soms.
Earlier it was reported about financial violations revealed at Kumtor, in particular, fuels and lubricants, food, spare parts were purchased at prices above market ones. In this regard, Tengiz Bolturuk, who previously headed Kumtor, and financial director Ryspek Toktogulov were removed from their posts.
