Kyrgyz programmers to hold first IT forum in New York
Programmers from Kyrgyzstan will hold the first IT forum in New York with the participation of colleagues from Central Asia and the United States. Representatives of the High Technology Park told 24.kg news agency.
The forum will take place on September 13. Representatives of the Kyrgyz, Kazakh and Uzbek diasporas, leading IT companies, startups, accelerators and VCs from the United States are expected to participate in it.
«We are forming a delegation of 40 people. These are the heads of IT companies and startups from our region. The Ambassadors of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, as well as a representative of the U.S. Department of State, will speak at the opening,» the organizers told.
The event is held as part of a business tour to the United States, which will last eight days. During this time, the delegation from Central Asia will visit five American giants: Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Stanford and Tesla. Meetings are also planned with representatives of the best accelerators in Silicon Valley (Stanford StartX, Innovation 10x, Draper University).
«This event is aimed at developing the fast-growing IT sector of Central Asia and promoting the region as a new IT destination and is aimed at developing human resources, creation of new and strengthening long-standing partnerships, and enhancing the exchange of experience with the best players in the American IT sector,» the park representatives added.
