International reserves of Kyrgyzstan grow by $19.34 million for month
As a result of August 2022, the gross international reserves of Kyrgyzstan reached $2,567.82 billion. Website of the National Bank says.
Over the past month, the gross international reserves increased by $19.34 million, and decreased by $301.65 million compared to August last year. Since the beginning of the year, the figure has decreased by $409.74 million. The highest level of the reserves was in September 2021 — $3,241.14 billion.
The National Bank uses the reserves to smooth out sharp fluctuations in the foreign exchange market. It conducted 15 interventions last year, selling $698.95 million. From the beginning of 2022 to April 5, the bank conducted five interventions to sell $284.3 million and seven interventions to buy $190,740 million on the foreign exchange market. Net sales amounted to $93.56 million.
