Work of asphalt plant in Osh region stopped after complaints from residents
Work of Kurulush-Teiloo asphalt concrete plant was stopped. Press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of Kyrgyzstan reported.
Earlier, a 24.kg news agency reader asked environmentalists to check a bitumen plant located near Top-Terek village in Osh region. The local resident complained about the smoke and stench.
After the publication, inspectors of the department visited the region and saw how black smoke was coming from the chimney of the asphalt concrete plant for half an hour.
Inspection found that Kurulush-Teiloo LLC does not have permission to operate the enterprise.
Representatives of the ministry sent an order to the management of the plant to obtain permits, install exhaust gas filters-neutralizers. The plant has been shut down.
