Akylbek Japarov: Respect for child should be absolute rule for adults
«Respect for the interests of a child, teenager, youth should be an absolute rule of behavior for adults in our country,» said Akylbek Japarov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, speaking at the Republican Pedagogical Conference of workers and managers of the education system in Kyrgyzstan.
He noted the special role of teachers in educating the younger generation and once again voiced the main directions of the presidential decree on the concept of developing civic identity «Kyrgyz Zharany». This is strengthening the unity of the people of Kyrgyzstan, increasing tolerance and maintaining respect for the values of diversity, developing and promoting the state language, maintaining and developing multilingualism, creating equal conditions in access and increasing confidence in political institutions and government bodies.
«Initially, the idea of Kyrgyz zharany is laid in the family. It is in it that the child learns to love his or her homeland and be proud of it. But then it is you, the teachers, who give our children not only knowledge, but also help to become good citizens of Kyrgyzstan. Therefore, it is important to include materials in the educational program that reveal the concept of citizenship, development of multilingualism and multiculturalism based on the best world practices,» he said.
