Economy Ministry expects GDP growth of 4-5 percent by the end of 2022
«We have revised the forecast for the growth of Kyrgyzstan’s economy in 2022, as the situation is developing positively,» Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan, Choro Seyitov, said today during a live broadcast.
According to him, earlier it was predicted that economic growth would be 3.7 percent by the end of 2022. But in January-July 2022, GDP growth reached 7.7 percent. If the trend continues, an increase of 4 percent is expected. The optimistic scenario allows to count on 5 percent.
«We have a new position on inflation, it will approximately reach about 14 percent by the end of the year,» Choro Seyitov said.
At the beginning of 2022, the National Bank expected inflation at 18 percent, but then revised the forecast and reduced it to 15 percent.
