Marathon champion of Russia Sardana Trofimova joins national team of Kyrgyzstan
Five-time champion of Russia in marathon Sardana Trofimova has officially joined the national team of Kyrgyzstan.
Earlier, the athlete sent an application for dismissal to the Athletics Federation of the Russian Federation, then went through the procedure for admission to the Kyrgyz Republic — she received sports citizenship.
Sardana Trofimova is a five-time marathon champion of Russia, a participant of the World Championships.
The International Athletics Federation approved her transfer.
She intends to train and participate in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
