Islamic Solidarity Games: Aisuluu Tynybekova wins gold in freestyle wrestling
Member of the national team of Kyrgyzstan Aisuluu Tynybekova reached the finals of the freestyle wrestling tournament as a part of the Islamic Solidarity Games in Turkey. She competed for a gold medal with an athlete from Guinea and confidently defeated her with a score 11-0.
This medal is the fourth for Kyrgyzstan at the Games.
In 2017, Aisuluu Tynybekova also won a gold medal at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku.
Aisuluu Tynybekova is a freestyle wrestler, four-time champion of Asia, two-time world champion, World Cup winner, winner of various international competitions, silver medalist of the Tokyo Olympics (2021).
The Islamic Solidarity Games are held for the fifth time. In 2021, due to the coronavirus pandemic, they were postponed to August 2022.
