National Bank sells 322.9 kg of gold to population since beginning of 2022
As of August 3, 2022, the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan sold 322.9 kilograms of refined gold to the population. The Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurbek Zhenish told at a press conference.
According to him, the price of a refined gold ingot weighing 100 grams is 495,589.5 soms. Since the beginning of the year, it has fallen by 3.13 percent. The buyback price as of August 8 is 481,155 soms, which is also 3.13 percent less than in early January. Then the National Bank bought gold weighted bullions weighing 100 grams from the population for 496,716.5 soms.
The gold weighted bullions are sold to individuals and legal entities in Kyrgyzstan by the circulation cash desks of the National Bank. The transaction is concluded on the basis of an identity document (passport, military ID). Gold weighted bullions are sold with a certificate confirming their origin.
The gold weighted bullions are bought back only in case of the presence of a certificate. If there is no document or it is damaged, then the gold weighted bullion is sent for a detailed examination to the National Bank.
