35 million soms allocated to Bishkek to lift poor families out of poverty
At least 35 million soms were allocated to Bishkek to lift low-income families out of poverty. The Minister of Labor, Social Security and Migration of Kyrgyzstan Kudaibergen Bazarbaev said during a meeting with the head of the capital’s municipality Emilbek Abdykadyrov.
The minister recalled that the ministry is implementing Social Contract project to lift poor families, receiving the allowance Ui-bulogo komok, out of poverty.
«At least 282 million soms were allocated from the republican budget for the implementation of the project, 35 million soms of the amount were allocated to Bishkek. The funds should be used to launch 350 business projects,» Kudaibergen Bazarbaev said.
Emilbek Abdykadyrov noted that the District Departments of Labor, Social Security and Migration of Bishkek conduct consultations for beneficiaries on participation in Social Contract project, as well as preparatory work to provide assistance and learn the skills of monitoring candidates who will be selected for the project.
