Fee charged for withdrawal of cash from deposits in one case – National Bank
Commercial banks of Kyrgyzstan have the right to charge a fee for cashing out currency from deposits and accounts of individuals only if they are replenished in a non-cash form. The head of the Banking Supervision Department of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan Seitek Chalbaev told today at a press conference.
«If the deposit is replenished with cash dollars, they can be cashed out without a fee. If it is replenished with non-cash money, then a fee is charged for this at the rate of a commercial bank,» he explained.
The fee in this case is a payment for the bank’s services for the provision of currency.
According to the bank, the minimum fee in commercial banks for cashing dollars to date is 0.4 percent, the maximum is 5 percent of the withdrawn amount.
