National team of Kyrgyzstan to participate in World Horseball Championship
The national team of Kyrgyzstan will participate in the World Horseball Championship for the first time. The President of the Federation of this sport, Munarbek Kuldanbaev, told journalists.
According to him, the World Horseball Championship will start on August 15 in the French city of Saint Lo.
Seventeen countries are expected to participate in it.
«Since the Kyrgyz team is participating in a large-scale championship for the first time, a friendly match was held with a team from Belgium upon arrival. The game ended in favor of the opponents with a score 8-3. The purpose of the match was to reveal the weaknesses of our team. Currently, our athletes are training at MYEQUIDREAM Equestrian Club under the guidance of an experienced coach Jerome Durante,» he said.
The first game of the national team of Kyrgyzstan within the championship will take place on August 15 against the national team of France at 9.30 p.m. Bishkek time. Games will be streamed LIVE on YouTube channel FIHB.TV.
Horseball Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic was established in 2011 and is a full member of the Fédération Internationale de Horseball (International Horseball Federation) FIHB. Since 2016, it has held four international championships in Toktogul district and three horseball shows as part of the World Nomad Games.
