Ancient burial mounds discovered in Kyrgyzstan during railway construction
Ancient burial mounds were discovered at the stage of design and survey work on the site of Balykchy — Kochkor railway under construction. They are defined by the Ministry of Culture as monuments of archeology and objects of historical and cultural heritage. Press service of Kyrgyz Temir Zholu reported.
The company has assumed responsibility for ensuring the maintenance of these facilities. After discussing with archaeologists the prospects for determining the status of the mounds, it was decided to finance their excavation and reburial.
