Optimization: About 2,000 officials fired after presidential decree
Director of the State Agency for Civil Service and Local Government Affairs Elchibek Dzhantaev told at a press conference how the decree of the President Sadyr Japarov on reducing the state apparatus is being implemented.
«Personnel optimization up to 30 percent will be continued. About 26,000 state and municipal employees work now. Prior to the presidential decree, there were 28,000 of them. In particular, 31 people have been laid off in our agency,» Elchibek Dzhantaev informed.
In October 2021, Akylbek Japarov also stated that a 30 percent staff reduction is expected among state employees with the entry into force of the bill on the Cabinet of Ministers.
