Day of Eurasian Economic Union to be marked annually on May 29
The leaders of the EAEU countries have established the Day of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), which will be celebrated annually on May 29. Press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) reported.
At the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council held in Bishkek in May this year, the heads of the Eurasian Five unanimously supported the initiative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov to declare May 29 as the Day of the Eurasian Economic Union.
The Treaty on the EAEU was signed in the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan on this day in 2014.
As it is noted in the order of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, the establishment of such a day will help strengthen solidarity and deepen cooperation between the allied states.
