Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan decide on place for automobile plant
Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan have decided on the place for a new automobile plant, which will produce Uzbek cars. The media of the Republic of Uzbekistan report, citing the Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Amangeldiev.
According to the official, the enterprise will be located in Sokuluk district of Chui region.
«The project of SKD assembly of Uzbek cars in Kyrgyzstan is being considered now. The issues of taxation of the enterprise and provision of preferences to it are discussed. Due to the fact that we are the members of the EAEU, this complicates the process a little, since we still have to agree with other countries of the organization on this issue. Location of the enterprise has already been determined. This will be Sokuluk district of Chui region. There is no exact launch date so far, an active process of negotiations is underway,» Daniyar Amangeldiev said.
Earlier, representatives of Uzavtosanoat stated that Kyrgyzstan is one of the priority markets for expanding production, since the China — Kyrgyzstan — Uzbekistan road corridor reduces the delivery time of components, and car assembly can cost less. According to Uzbek media, the first model assembled in Kyrgyzstan will be Nexia R3.
