Dinara Kutmanova: Kumtor has not obtained new gold mining licenses
Kumtor has not obtained any new licenses to date. The Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of Kyrgyzstan Dinara Kutmanova told at a press conference.
According to her, work at the field is carried out within the framework of the concession area. Its expansion is out of question.
«Even if they submit such applications, we will consider them and make a decision. There is a nature reserve nearby (Sarychat-Ertash. — Note of 24.kg news agency). If the area enters its territory, we will not issue a license. These are the legislative norms,» Dinara Kutmanova concluded.
