Kyrgyzstan checks all licenses issued to subsoil users
An audit of all licenses issued to subsoil users has begun in terms of fulfilling license agreements. The regulatory framework is being revised. The Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of Kyrgyzstan Dinara Kutmanova told today at a press conference.
According to her, as of July 1, 2022, there are 2,398 valid licenses in Kyrgyzstan, including 398 licenses issued for gold deposits, 531 — for water resources, 57 — for oil and gas, 107 — for metals, 401 — for coal and 904 — for non-metallic deposits.
«The Subsoil Code is being developed. This work is currently ongoing. In the fall, in September, a new version of the law will be submitted for consideration. There will be a lot of changes, and many gaps that exist to date have already been taken into account,» Dinara Kutmanova said.
