Activist Adilet Ali Myktybek announces reason for his detention
Activist Ali Myktybek (Adilet Baltabai), detained on the fact of calls for mass riots, wrote a letter from the temporary detention center. The ex-deputy Ravshan Dzheenbekov published his appeal on his Facebook page.
«Dear people, I appeal to you with the conviction of my innocence. The state machine, whose malfunctioning I have sometimes criticized, absurdly and unreasonably accuses me of inciting mass riots. This does not do credit to the current government,» the activist wrote.
Adilet Ali Myktybek opposed legalization of casinos and held rallies. On June 30, the activist was taken to the Pervomaisky District Department of Internal Affairs from his home. Later, he was arrested for 48 hours.
