A housing complex will be built in place of the prison colony 47. The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan announced at a parliamentary meeting.
According to him, a tender has already been announced for construction on a plot of 8.6 hectares.
«We will sell the land for construction. The prison colony in Jalal-Abad will also move outside the city. In addition, we have already completed the construction of a prison for those deprived of liberty for life. In the future, we intend to repair one or two prisons a year at the expense of the budget in order to improve conditions there,» Akylbek Japarov said.
