One billion soms to be allocated for repair of irrigation network this year
At least one billion soms will be allocated this year to carry out repair and restoration work at state water facilities that are on the balance sheet of the Water Resources Service. The Minister of Agriculture Askarbek Dzhanybekov announced at a press conference in Bishkek.
«At the expense of these funds it is planned to repair 183.1 kilometers and concrete 77.4 kilometers of canals, mechanically clean 712.1 kilometers of canals, repair 619 hydraulic structures, 340 stream-gauging stations, 105 pumping stations, 28 wells, repair and clean 14 pools of daily and ten-day regulation, nine reservoirs, as well as repair and clean 276.8 kilometers of the collector and drainage network,» he said.
Repair and restoration work at irrigation facilities is ongoing throughout the year, and will be fully completed by December 25.
