Virology laboratory opened in Nookat
Virology laboratory was opened in the Center for Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance of Nookat district. The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan reported.
According to it, the laboratory was built in the framework of the project «Emergency Support for COVID-19» of the Islamic Development Bank.
A total of 10 new PCR laboratories are planned to be built across the republic. Six of them have already been completed in Karakol, Talas, Issyk-Ata and Zhaiyl districts, Sokuluk, and Nookat.
«It is expected that in the future these laboratories, in addition to testing for coronavirus infection, will diagnose other infections by PCR method (influenza, measles, rubella, hepatitis and others),» the Ministry of Health added.
