Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan bans graduate proms
The Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan issued an order on holding a solemn ceremony of handing secondary school diplomas to graduates. Press service of the ministry reported.
It is forbidden to hold graduate proms in the evening and at night on the territory of schools, in entertainment venues and other public places.
«School principals, class teachers and teachers who did not take security measures and did not prevent violations by schoolchildren on the territory of a general educational organization, as well as who allowed raising of money, will be subject to disciplinary measures, up to and including dismissal from their positions,» the ministry said.
According to the order, solemn events with the participation of educational authorities, representatives of local government bodies and the parent community will be held:
- On July 5 at 9 a.m. — for 9th grade graduates;
- On July 7 at 9 a.m. — for 11th grade graduates.
