Economy Minister: Five percent of Kyrgyzstanis are involved in corruption
«Only five percent of the citizens of Kyrgyzstan are involved in corruption,» the Minister of Economy and Commerce Daniyar Amangeldiev said at a meeting of the Committee on Budget and Fiscal Policy of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan.
According to him, the low on amnesty of assets is aimed at supporting businesses.
«This law relates more to business. How much capital is offshore today, but it is not possible to legalize it. The main purpose of the bill is to bring property and business assets out of the shadows. Therefore, we back up all this with a state guarantee,» he said.
Daniyar Amangeldiev noted that 30 percent of the economy is in the shadow.
«This bill is a preparation for a general declaring. When the declaring begins, the person will have to explain why he or she has five apartments. Therefore, they are given a chance to legalize the property,» he says.
According to the bill, the amnesty will be in force for a year.
